Quote of the day -- friendship

Be courteous to all, but intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your confidence. True friendship is a plant of slow growth, and must undergo and withstand the shocks of adversity before it is entitled to the appellation.

EWTN "The Journey Home"

The former Parochial Vicar for my parish, Rev. Gregory Wilson, is a convert from the Methodist Church and his "interview" for "The Journey Home" (originally produced 8/21) is available for anyone interested in hearing the conversion story of a truly orthodox priest.

Greetings all!

Hello my dear friends and readers!

The past couple of weeks, I have been sick with a bad sinus infection! So, I have been absolutely miserable especially with the current heat wave. With a heat indext temp of 110 in the shade it is hard to feel good without being sick... throw in a fever and you're asking for problems.

Work is insane, but I have received a WONDERFUL blessing! The corporate office completed the past due part of the report of I have to complete each month... so I am finally starting with a clean slate and can focus on the reorganization of the office now.

Hope everyone is doing well. I'll be posting more soon. I've been doing a lot of reading about spiritual friends... and the spiritual journey... the virtues... and the monastic journey especially from the mystic standpoint.
